Tonight I will be trying some new training style to help strengthen my core and help with balance. It is called SurfSET fitness, and it is being taught by AZ Extreme Fit. It uses stationary surf board on special mounts that allow them to still more similar to being in the water. I am looking forward to trying it out and special thanks to my new friend Heidi for turning my on to this new type of fitness.
hearts and prayers go out to the Boston victims and their families. We
are joining with many other running stores across the country to show
our support for Boston by hosting a “Runners For Boston” fun run on Monday, April 22nd at 6:30pm at all 3 of our locations.
The entire community is invited to participate. We encourage you to
wear any past or present Boston Marathon gear, the iconic blue and
yellow colors, or simply any race shirt. We have created an event on our Facebook page and ask that people indicate that they will attend:www.facebook.com/events/561859157192005/
For anyone interested in making a donation, the Boston Athletic Association has designated www.onefundboston.org as the official place to make donations.

This summer is going to busy a busy training summer for me. I going to continue with my strength training, and distance running that I have been doing. Since I am looking to do the full 26.2 mile P.F Chang's Rock 'n' Roll marathon in mid January. I am also going to be adding as much trail and/or mountain running in that I can, because I am training to do the Spartan Beast in late October. It is the last of the three races that I need to complete the Trifecta, which is the special status of doing all three of the race in one year. It will live up to its name, because it is 12+ miles of tough running and 25+ obstacles that will challenge me. I do know of at least of 20+ of them between the two races, but it is the 5+ unknown ones that will be the challenge.
