Monday training

I did the SGX (Spartan Group X) workout tonight with Chris Rutz at Power in Motion Crossfit, and it was awesome.  A tough workout, but if it isn't tough I am not moving forward in my training.  Go to see about finding a way to be able to do more of these training sessions, because they are what I really need to keep on track and move forward with my training.  Still did my burpees today, but at the end of the workout.

Monday training

I did 31 burpees for Day 2 of my 30 day Spartan burpee challenge.

Take it a bit easy today, because my calves are still bothering me from last Thursday's run and I am sure doing Camelback with the kids didn't help, but they having been wanting to do it.

Two young Spartans in training

Here are my two biggest supporter my kids joining me at last Saturday's Spartan workout. They are the two young Spartans in train in front of me, and did an awesome job with a long workout that was even tough for us adults. A big Spartan AROO! to them! — at Power in Motion Crossfit.  They will be making their Spartan Race debut this Feb at the Spartan Kids race here in AZ.

Anybody want to join me for doing it in 2014?

Monday training

My legs and shoulders are still sore from this weekend's Spartan workouts.  So, I have decided to make to night a yoga night for training as an active rest night.  In spite of being sore I am very ready to take on my training with more dedication and focus, because of the weekend and the inspiration that I got from it.

Sunday Spartan workout

I survived a second day of boot camp style Spartan workout!  It was really great workout and a little less intense than yesterday's, but still worked me out extremely well.  I love the fact that it was run today by Don Devaney of Spartan Race, which has inspired me to be the best human I can be!

Here is a picture from this morning's workout.

Here is me after it.

Saturday Spartan workout

I did the free Spartan workout this morning.  It was a great workout and a bit tough because of the boot camp style.
Healing scraped up knees and asphalt aren't a good  combination, but didn't stop me from doing the workouts.  Still need to work on building the endurance in my shoulders. I am looking forward to another day of it tomorrow morning.

Ok, Spartans if you raided your kids or office stash of Halloween candy it is time to pay up for those treats.  Here is the chart of the penalties for each treat you enjoyed:
(note: if you don't have the equipment for a penalty then it burpees equal to 1/2 the calories)
