Tuesday training

I did 45 minute at the gym working on my arms.

I have now done several run in my new Reebok shoes and really like them.  They are nice and light and breathe well and keep the dirt and rocks out.  Haven't had a chance to test them with mud, but that most like will be with the next obstacle course race I do.

As for my trail run last night.  It was a good run and I did have better recovery during my rest periods.  Which says that it is helping me feel better and do the things I enjoy more.

My Girl Friend's Thrive Experience By Le-Vel

     When my girlfriend has her monthly visitor, she lays in bed and hardly moved for at least the first day. She has little to no energy.  Her lower back hurt her horribly.  Its her day 3 on Thrive by Le-Vel and has chance would have it, day 3 of her nice little visit.  She got up with me and cleaned the entire house from top to bottom, without being asked. She has more energy and is not in pain.  She is a lot less crabby too. 

  I hate that she smokes. It stinks and its so bad for her.  Since she has been on Thrive by Le-Vel, when she smokes it gives her a head ache.  She used to "have" to smoke to "cure" her head aches. So she has stopped smoking !!!!  

  My girlfriend hates spending money and wasn't super sure about this product, but wanted to try, because she is always looking for a new way to get lots of vitamins and healthy stuff.  I believe this was the best $200 she has ever spent. It has been a life changing product for her.

Did get an hour workout in at the gym last night and felt good with better recovery during rest periods. Spent an hour at the gym working on my abs, arms, and animal movements, which felt good.  Also found my old nemesis at this gym also. (see picture below)

Monday night I will have my fitness assessment to see where I am at and what they suggest I do to improve in the area I want to.

Thursday restart training

I have had some thing come up in my life and I have let my workout slip, but tonight I restarted with a really light workout to at least say that I did something again.  I realize I they really do help add some balance and release to my life.  So, tonight became the restart of my training!  AROO!

I did 15 push-up, 10 pull-up, 30 crunches, 40 cherry pickers (20 each side) and 60 second plank, which it felt good to do!  AROO!

Thursday training

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but been dealing with a few things.  I am feel good and back at training.  Working an training for the Arizona Spartan Sprint 2015 and the Montana Spartan Beast/Sprint May 2015.  Along with any other races I am able to do between now and then, but those are the major ones on my radar at the moment.

A big shout out to the Painted Warrior for the awesome tank for my summer running!  He is an awesome obstacle course racer and an awesome guy.  I have had the opportunity to talk with him and train with him, and he is a great athlete!  Looking forward to seeing him again in the future at training session and/or races.

Tonight's workout was 2 set of 30 squats because I didn't realize you had to hold the record button for video.  Oh well.  Then 5 push-ups before and between each of these 30 crunches, 30 leg raises, 30 sec flutter kicks, 30 sec mountain climbers and 30 crunches.  All of them done on a SurfSET board, which makes for a great work out.

Wednesday training

I did my 30 squats for today as a warmup before this workout with my daughter, which was bring your parent night at cheer. It was a way to work on coordination.  So, we got a 5 minutes of stretching and 35 minutes workout learning their cheer dance and cheer routines.  It is a fun time that I do each season with her.

Tuesday morning

To all my Spartans and other followers I have found the best protein for racers because of its time release protein. It's great for recover, training and race time. I have used it with all my Spartan races and during my training. It tastes great just with water and mixes easily.  It also works great in about any other smooth or even mixed with yogurt & fruit.

Didn't get to do my long run like I was hoping, because of losing my cell phone between work and the start of my run.  So, I spent the time looking for it and replacing it.  On the bright side is that now the new phone has a waterproof case, so I can take it with me more places!
